RISKCOAST team finds signs of recent activity on an Ibiza fault line
A RISKCOAST team mapping coastal landslides on the island of Ibiza has found signs of recent activity on the fault off the island of Es Vedrà.
The work being carried out as part of the project is yielding unexpected results, such as the possibility of witnessing the collapse of a slope and being able to record it with the latest technology or, in this case, the discovery of a tectonic structure that could be the source of earthquakes. A television crew from IB3, the regional news channel, picked up the discovery and interviewed members of RISKCOAST who were working in the area.
